How much hair do I need for a full install?

 

• 14–16 inches: 2+ bundles
• 18–24 inches: 3+ bundles
• 26–30 inches: 4+ bundles
• 30 inches and up: 5+ bundles

How much does each bundle weigh?

Each bundle weighs between 3.2 – 3.5 oz, ensuring full, voluminous coverage.

Will all wefts be the same length?

Not exactly. Each bundle is weighed, not measured by weft length, so slight variations between wefts are normal.

 

Does the hair look natural? Absolutely! I Am Meledee extensions are lightweight, natural-looking, and versatile. Wear them in the wind, sauna, or pool no one will know you’re wearing extensions.

 

 

Will Burmese, Cambodian, or Vietnamese hair match African-American textures? Yes these textures are ethnic in origin and blend beautifully with African-American hair types.

What does “wefted” mean? “Wefted” hair is sewn or bonded into a track, ready for weaving. Think of it as a curtain of hair stitched neatly along the top.

Can I cut the weft? Yes, but it’s not recommended. Our machine-reinforced wefts can be cut without unraveling but to maintain longevity, keep them intact when possible.

Does this hair shed? All wefted hair may shed minimally. With proper care, you’ll experience no drastic thinning or volume loss.

Can I color or bleach the hair? Yes our hair is 100% virgin human hair. However, we strongly recommend using a professional colorist to preserve hair quality.

Is #613 Platinum Blonde high maintenance? Yes #613 hair is more fragile due to the bleaching process. Use daily argan oil, and weekly hydrating shampoo & conditioner to maintain health and shine.

What products should I use? Use salon grade, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Deep condition weekly. Avoid oils or heavy styling products that can weigh the hair down.

What’s the best way to care for my hair daily? In the morning, gently brush your hair starting from the ends upward to protect the weft. At night, never sleep on wet hair. Wrap, braid, or pin up hair and use a satin scarf or bonnet.

How do I maintain curls or waves? For wavy/curly textures, apply a curl-defining cream while the hair is wet. Air-dry when possible to preserve the pattern and reduce frizz.

Can I go swimming? Yes! Braid or tie your hair up before entering pools or hot tubs, and wash hair immediately after. Follow with a spray-in conditioner.

How often should I wash my hair? As often as you’d wash your own! Just avoid drying shampoos opt for moisturizing, nourishing formulas.

How long will the hair last? With proper care, your bundles can last 6 months to over a year. The better the care, the longer the life!

 

What is the difference between Virgin, Raw, and Remy hair?

• Virgin/Raw: Unprocessed, chemical-free hair with all cuticles intact
• Remy: Hair with cuticles aligned in the same direction to prevent tangling
  Each bundle is unique in texture just like your natural hair.

Styling Tools & Tips:

 

• Use a wide-tooth or paddle brush only.
• Avoid small-tooth combs that can cause breakage or shedding.
• Always detangle before washing.

How often should I schedule maintenance? Book touch-ups or maintenance every 3–6 weeks to keep your look flawless.
